Im reading the book "Elsewhere" by Gabrielle Zevin, and in this book a girl, Liz, is dreaming, and in the dream she is about to open the door and she said "Someone, somewhere, once told Liz that you should never, under any circumstances, open a door in a dream." Help??

If you open a door while sleep walking, then you might accidentally stub your toe or accidentally open it on your face, but other than that, no biggie!

It is a myth that waking anyone while dreaming or sleep-walking will hurt them in any way (they'll most likely be disoriented, but that's about it), or that if you fall and die in a dream that you will die in actuality (look at it this way, if it really did happen, how would anyone know that you died of a dream?).

So, dream your dreams, and don't dread the doors!
(besides, what did Jim Morrison ever do to you?) ;)
