The most famous person that I've ever met is David Bowie.
He just arrived without any bodyguards, zero pretention, and was just INCREDIBLY normal and down to earth !

I was very impressed by his "regular guy" attitude.
When you see David Bowie on film you tend to imagine that he is very tall... when in reality he is really quite short.

I recall just looking at him and thinking "this man is Ziggy Stardust !". A living legend !!

It's difficult not to be impressed by such an artist.

I'm a stage manager at various fesitvals in the Philly area, so I've met lot's of musicians.

Toad the wet Sprocket, Fountains of Wayne, the Band, Duncan Sheik, Jackson Browne, Emmy Lou Harris, the Indigo Girls all were very nice, and very professional.

Leon Redbone, very weird.

Loudon Wainwright III, stormed the stage and took over the festival (in a good way). Rufus Wainwright was very nice.

As a matter of fact most of the hundreds of people I've worked with have been very nice, down to earth, ordinary people.

Lucinda Williams, however is a b!tch. Showed up an hour late for her set. Her road manager and crew were rude and ignorant.

Of course, as the stage manager, I controlled the power. Sure hope they had a good time loading out.....in the dark ;-)

I met Ant from the Ant & Dec duo, very nice guy. Met My Chemical romance back stage in America ( OMG are they great or what, also very nice and not as moody or emo as they seem) i have a friend who knows Jade Goody, i met her and the small amount of respect which i had gained for her since she left bigbrother is completely gone as when she drinks the " Am I Mingin' " jade comes back in all her glory. I no that this doesnt really count but when i when to disneyland in paris Goofy ( or the man dressed as Goofy) was really mean and rude to a little child who wanted to hold his hand but instead just shrugged the boy off so that he fell and didnt even bother to help him up. how a***holly can you get. ; )

I met Peter Fonda at a book signing party when I was about 8 months pregnant. I didn't know if I was having a boy or a girl, so he said he could tell me what it was. I thought, whatever, but I let him touch my stomach and he said I was having a boy. He was right!
I also met Henry Rollins after one of his spoken word shows. I've had a crush on him forever and I was afraid too meet him and find out that he was an a**hole. Thankfully, he was really cool and friendly.

I've met all the members of A-ha at a CD signing and they were lovely.
Met the lead singer a few times after concerts and he usually takes the time to chat to the fans and pose for photos and sign autographs.

Jessica Biel - she was a sweetheart and showed interest in what I had to say! I met her at an awards show in Nashville. I had backstage passes.

Amy Lee from Evanescence - They came to Nashville in March and I had backstage passes. She heard me singing one of her songs while myself and others were waiting to meet her. She told me I had a wonderful voice, we ended up singing "Good Enough" complete with the piano and everything. After that, she gave me some t-shirts, some autographed pictures and a CD.

I met Peter Cushing, he of early Hammer House of Horror films etc, in Whitstable. He was in a little cafe having a cuppa, I went over to talk to him and get his autograph and ended up sitting and gabbing for hours. He was such a sweet guy and offered to pay my bill. I met Midge Ure of Ultravox and Band Aid fame in Manchester in a pub and managed to chat with him for long enough to get enough info for my music exam study, again got bought a drink, nice down to earth bloke. Dan from BB, see him regularly and he's quite a nice guy too, not up his own a.s.s. and very approachable.Met Hinge and Bracket at the theatre and they took me for supper to a little restaurant, they were really nice people, a little camp!! And finally....once met Spike Milligan at a friend of his daughters place, he was a really nice nutter!!! Chatty and very intelligent, I left the party with my jaw aching from laughing so much.
