i never had sex with her im still a virgin at seventeen, she just told me the other night thats why i asked you guys. so its not possible for the baby to be mines she even said that.

This is really deep!
It all depends on how you feel for her and if you can imagine bringing up another mans child.
If you don't feel that you can do it then you need to finish with as soon as possible.
After a month together I really don't see how you can possibly make her any promises.Good luck.

Doctors count the length of pregnancy from the first day of the last menstrual period, not from the day of conception (which no one can really know). On average, women ovulate around the middle of the cycle, and conception and implantation occur a after that.
So if the DOCTOR said your girlfriend is five weeks pregnant, then she definitely got pregnant within the last 3-4 weeks, which makes you a candidate for fatherhood. Do not assume you can't be the father, or accuse your girlfriend without proof she had sex with someone else.
If you have doubts, get a DNA test after the baby is born.

If there's any doubt that you're the father, you should get a test (would probably have to wait until the baby is born in most cases).
Between now and then, you need to be thinking about what you want to do if you're the father, and also what you want to do if you aren't.
Here's one way to think about it...if she'd been a single parent when you first met her, would you have still dated her and become her boyfriend? If the answer is yes, then this all shouldn't affect your relationship too much.
If the answer is no, and you do find out that it's your child, remember that you can choose whether or not to be together with someone, but you can't choose whether or not to be a father. You can be a good dad, or an absentee dad, or whatever kind of dad you want to be, but you're still the daddy.

Here is the thing, a woman's pregnancy when counted by weeks starts off at conception counted as week 2. The reason for that is that it is counted from the first day of her last period which is usually about 2 weeks before conception. If this is why you think it isn't yours, then it could be yours. If she says she is 5 weeks pregnant, then conception took place 3 weeks ago. The 5 weeks means that her last period started 5 weeks ago.
The only way for you to truly know if it is your baby is to have a DNA test done as soon as the baby is born.

If she is 5wks pregnant she conceived 3wks ago so if you have been together more than 3wks there is a good chance it is yours. Pregnancy is calculated from the first day of the last period and conception generally happens 2wks later.
If it is not yours the two of you will need to decide if you want to stick around or not. This will be a very personal decision to make.

In these situations we all have instincts when it comes to "what to do"? what are yours?
Nobody here can really advise you. Any decision you make from here on in will be a life changing one.
Only you know how you feel about this girl but if I'm right and the baby is yours you and you're girlfriend must meet your responsibilities and make sure you don't compound this mess by making this child's future a mess to.

If you been together only for for a month . She should only be three or four months pregnant . I think that she was having sex with someone before she met you because the the weeks don't add up ! I think you should have a talk with her about it . tell her you wont be mad i need to no if you were seeing or having sex . you tell her you are not denied the baby but the weeks don't add up .

Sorry to break it to you but this baby is more than likely yours...you should have used better protection...now it's time to step it up and be a dad ready or not!! They count from her last menstral period which is actually about two weeks before she actually concieved which means that she concieved 3 weeks ago and that is within the month that you guys have been together.....

If the Dr. are telling you she is 1m and 1 week they are just guessing. But, the girl may know the actual date of conception. But there is a big possibility that this is your child. You need to talk to her and get all of the facts.

It could be yours. Technically, if she has been faithful to you, she is about 3 weeks pregnant (from time of conception), but doctors date it from the first day of your last period which in doctors terms will make her 1 month and 1 week :-)
