In the process, the Trojans became the first team to be named No. 1 on every ballot of both the coaches and media polls. Keith Jackson, who's forgotten more about college football than we'll ever know, said the '72 Trojans were the best ever.

the 1974 Oklahoma Sooners they went undefeated and won the National Championship and this was one of the season were they played Nebraska when it was its best.

NOTRE DAME IS #1! They may not be doing good this season, but overrall, through all the history, championships, and big time players such as Joe Montana and Brady Quinn, they are the very best team.
