they say that It somewhat depends on sun's shade....If the shade of the sun is coming from the left then i will shade my drawing to the right. is this correct?

Fine yourself a cone, a round shape and a box and maybe a tube. Set them up on a table and clip a bright light on one side. Look very closely at where the light strikes the items and where they are shaded and how is the shading shaped relative to the shape of the item. How does the cast shadow compare to the shape and source.

Move the light to another place and study again.

that's basically the rule you have to consider, but it's not always the sun, take into consideration other sources of light, as the subject being lit creates a shadow in the opposite direction from the source of light, you also have to take into account the height of the subject and the distance of the shadow based on the position and intensity of the source of light.
