Desmond Morris didn’t say anything like that in his book Naked Ape. Rather he suggested human species would have hard a long period of existence in marshy/watery areas.

Keeping your entire body except head under water and the efforts to swim caused us to lose all our hair except on the head and in armpits and pubic area (these do not cause extra drag while swimming).

The different patterns of hair on the face of males and females also suggest this (When only your head is above water, a beard and moustache helps very much to reveal your gender)

When the marshy/watery regions dried up or when the human beings finally decided to leave the place, there would have been women of varying hairiness. There is a evolutionary chance that males preferred females who were less hairy as they have “evolved” more. Sexual preference is always based on better genes for all species. A better evolved peacock has brighter feather and better symmetry and female peacocks are attracted more towards such individuals.

I hope you guys understand what I type. I am learning english.

Desmond Morris said the reason we lost our hair was because the hunter ran about a lot. The female left behind who didn't run about at all, was less hairy. She grew boobs like a bum to ensure 'bonding'. A likely tale. Elephants have two boobs like a bum.

I think men are hairier because they are a hairy throwback and didn't come into the sea like the aquatic female. She lost all her body hair and developed a layer of fat like all animals who went for a few million years into the sea because it was hot. Like the animals, who also grew a fatty layer, we got bigger, more intelligent, learned to cry and made love face to face like whales. Pigs and elephants came into the sea too - both lost their hair and they developed snorkels - we grew hooded nostrils. I'm sure you didn't want all this, but one thing led to another.

You answered your own question. Men have more hair because we manufacture more testosterone. Why? Our testosterone producing organs are much larger than those on women. Also, women produce a whole lot more estrogen than men. Have you ever noticed that women tend to grow more facial hair after experiencing menopause? The estrogen levels decline and the hair starts to sprout.

If reality didn't exist, you'd have to be crazy to imagine it.
