Here are several tips to preparing for and raising the babies (a.k.a. fry):

1. Cram your tank with as many plants as you can (real or plastic) so the female will have a place to hide while she gives birth and the babies can hide from the other fish.

2-Crush tropical flakes into a fine powder in a sealed zip-loc bag and feed tiny pinches to the fry.

3-Cover the part of the filter that sucks the water in with a piece of tights and secure with an elastic. Do this because if you don't, the babies will all get sucked into the filter.

4-Change 10% of the water every week and replace with only de-chlorinated water. If you change any larger percent, the fry may die of stress.

5-The fry will be healthiest if you keep the water at 80-82 F (degrees).

I hope this helps! Good luck!

Guppies will consume their younger as quickly as they're laid you will have to get a fish breeder factor. they promote them at puppy retail outlets and so they paintings high-quality for guppies. The toddlers pop out in eggs however inside three moment change into little child guppies . the mum and different guppies and fish will consume all of the toddlers without this breeding gadget.

Get another tank.... guppies repopulate fast. For right now you can get an incubation tank, its like a little tank that attaches to the side of your tank. Or maybe see if you can create a divider with a screen and section off a small part of your tank.
I haven't had fish in many years but I remember having to do that and having a big ol tank full lof guppies when our son wanted them!

hi you can get a breeding net not the plastic one as the fry can get out or get stuck place the female in when she looks ready to drop when shes finished she can go back in the tank you can get special food for fry the only problem is they get pregnant a lot and they can give birth to a lot of fry unless you are prepared to buy a lot of tanks i would let nature take its coarse it will be a good meal for the other fish

You can go buy a breeding container for about $7 at petsmart. put the pregnant fish in it and when the babies come out, they'll fall to the bottom and be separated from the mother, which is good because sometimes she eats them. another way is to put in some hiding places for the baby fish instead of using the breeding containers. just add some rocks, or aquarium plants.
Here's a link to theat breeding container i was talking about:

Hope that helps.

you could buy a breeder net, but don't put her in there before she's ready, or you will loose all the fry due to abortion because of stress

She will get a sparely appearance just beneath her had and become very big, as well, she might stop eating just before birth

the following explains everything in detail

Hope that helps
Good luck
