Is it possable to Evaluate the sqrt of -100?

If so whats the answer?

Hi,
Yes, the sqrt (-100) has no real solutions, but it does have a non-real answer.
Sqrt (-100)
=sqrt(100)*sqrt (-1)
=10i (Remember that sqrt(-1) is equivalent to the imaginary number i.)

yes, in imaginary terms.
the sqrt of a negative number can be evaluated by the i or j. i stands for imaginary and is used a lot when evaluating vectors. i=sqrt of -1.
for example: √-100= √-1 * √100 = √-1 * 10 = 10 i .
