I'm thirteen. I've been having a really disgusting (and embarassing) problem since about 11 or so. Some kind of thick, mucus like liquid keeps coiming out of my vagina. It's been very uncomfortable for me. i avoid opening my legs too wide or doing any exercises. If not, My underwear would be, sort of , wet (if that's the word). is this normal? I still haven't have my period yet. Does it happen to other 13 year olds as well? How do i get rid of it? Please help me, I'm really feeling bad. And don't give sarcastic answers too.
Someone please help me. Some advice to get rid of it and.... What is it?
Try not to use too many hard words, my english is not that good.

It is discharge; honey: What is discharge do? Let your mom will help you about this. You will learn more about discharge.
This discharge helps keep the vagina healthy.
Normal vaginal fluids vary in texture from thin and slightly sticky to thick and gooey. They also vary in color, ranging from clear to white or off-white. The amount of discharge can vary depending upon a girl's menstrual cycle. For example, fluids tend to be a bit heavier around the time a girl ovulates, which is when an egg is released from the ovary and moves into the fallopian tube.
Normal discharge should have only a slight odor and should never cause itching or burning. Symptoms like itching, a strong odor, or a change in color (such as to brown, gray, or green) indicate that a girl may have a vaginal infection and needs to see a doctor.
Sometimes a normal vaginal discharge can irritate the skin. This is due to the moisture against the skin. You can prevent skin irritation in the vaginal area, especially when it's hot and humid outside, by wearing cotton underwear and avoiding clothes that don't let your skin breathe. It's also important to keep your body clean by bathing on a regular basis.

Hi.
OK I am a MOM so I am a little worried about you.
First thing, can you tell your Mom or a trusted female adult?
If so good, if not then here is the next step.
It sounds like you may want ot visit a Dr for some answers. BUT, if you are not able to do this because of money or privacy, you may want to go to the public health clinic.
Also, you can go to Wal-mart or Wal-greens and purchase a new product on the market that you can use to test for a yeast infection. BUT, if you have had it for a very long time then I would say the test will not be yeast.
Yeast is VERY itchy and it stinks. (sorry to get so graphic)
You can also go to WEB MD and research what you may have.
BUT, you really need to go to a Dr.
Many women have a discharge from time to time, but for you to have this for two years is not healthy. The reason I am so worried is an infection can affect your female organs and that will cause great pain later.
Please find a trusted female to talk to and go to the Dr.
I know how scary it is to go to a male Dr for the first time for problems done "there" but there are some wonderful female Drs that will take great care of you AND a Physician Assistant can see you for something like this and there are many Female Physician's Assistants.

Vaginal discharge is sometimes a normal thing. Other times it can be a sign of a yeast infection. If it has a REALLY bad odor, bloody tinge, and if you experience any burning or severe itching, you might wanna see a doctor about it. All women experience this. Whether they'll admit it or not. Its easily controlled as well.
Another thing is buying some panty liners. Not the ones you use on your period though. Always makes a very thin, small liner and it will absorb this discharge, and you can change them out.
You can also change your body wash. Try buying a baby wash and use that. Sometimes body washes and soaps are too abrasive and will cause irritation.

That is DISCHARGE. It is completely normal. You can't and shouldn't try to get rid of it. Discharge keeps the vagina healthy. Most girls have it for at least a year before they get their periods. ON days when it is really heavy, you can use a pantyliner to prevent the "wetness".
You only have to go to a doctor for it if it is a wierd color (green, blue, neon yellow) wierd texture (lumpy like cottage cheese) or a really bad smell.

The best thing to do is go see a gynecologist. That is a doctor that specializes in women's health. He or she can help you with this problem and maybe prescribe some medication.

Honey, please go see your doctor. It could be completely normal, as many women have discharge, but it could also be an infection of some type.
Best of luck to you!
