I've never owned a cell phone. I don't know that I would "wish that cell phones had never been invented" because I do think they have a place. Like when your car breaks down. Being able to immediately call a family member or a tow truck is clearly a good thing. But these people who seem to have them superglued to their ear? That's just pathological. It's mentally ill. There is NOBODY in the world who is so "important" that they have to constantly be "in touch" with every living person they ever knew. And talking on the phone while DRIVING? Heed my warning - we will soon see the day when those irresponsible sociopaths will be serving jail time for that. There is NO excuse for it.

If you have Dish Net work, you can hook up a phone line to the receiver and program it to have caller ID on the TV and it's pop's up on the screen when someone calls so if you don't want to answer it you don't even have to go look at the phone!!

Yeah, last week I received a call from a prison (true story) so I accepted the call. I don't know anyone in prison, but it could've been somebody stuck in jail or something. It was some guy asking for someone, but wouldn't let me go. I just hung up. After that he kept calling. Of course, I didn't accept the call because they charge you for the call, and also because I didn't want to talk to a criminal. He kept calling for three days! I hope he doens't find out where I live.

Prank callers, telemarketers...what do you think? Would I regret picking up the phone?

cannot afford caller id- but this neighbor has my e-mail and I e-mail her- but she calls ME at the most inappropriate times. Says she never checks her e-mail and wants me to read to her what I e-mailed. Evil. Grrrrrrrrrrr.
