No one at my place of work is able to use facebook since Sept1/07. Did my employer use a blocker on it?

probably, so please be careful and just avoid opening such sites while at work. your employer may also be tracking down attempts to do so using proxies and other hacking attempts. so using one may get you fired.

Most likely they did. To bypass this just go to an online proxy such as http://www.intellinkual.com or http://prxy.programming-designs.com
