What gives women the right to make all the RULES for dealing with the opposite sex?

When a man says he wants a housewife and a woman who is passive, he gets attacked by feminists. Yet, women feel they have the right to tell men how they should behave in relationships with women. Why? If men can't dictate female behavior why should women be able to dictate male behavior?

Neither should dictate either behavior. When you enter into a relationship it's usually because you share the same ideals and perspectives of your partner with minor differences to keep things interesting. If you want to find a woman who wants to be a housewife and is passive, go for it, there is nothing wrong with looking for a mate whom you are compatible with.

Actually, its not "what" gives the woman the right to make all the rules, its "who".... If you come across a woman like that, her behaviour has likely been nurtured and encouraged by a man who has put up with it. People (both men and women) can 'feel they have the right to tell the other how to behave in a relationship'...but that doesn't mean that you have to play along. When you recognize this attempt at controlling you, walk away. And if you choose to stay, you have no one to blame but yourself.

There are all kinds of people, with all kinds of irresponsible and selfish, self righteous behavior. Both men and women. You can't change them. But you can choose not to associate with them.

Nothing gives them the right. In fact, according to logical ethics they do not have it. Nevertheless it is accepted that they do. This is because of a couple of things:

1) Feminism has owned the gender discourse and definitely does not wish to share this position with men. Any man taking a stand against this sort of hypocrisy is met by wholly unfair resistance by the feminist gender establishment.

2) Benevolent sexism / chivalry / women first attitudes.. basically let women get away with bad behaviour including hypocrisy.

The short answer is.. because they have been allowed to get away with it. Just tell them your way or the highway regardless. We are still free to not marry into a raw deal (for now).. so unless the deal is going to be mutually beneficial in a way you can accept.. join the marriage strike and exercise your bargaining power.

But you have a point. Since I am not a feminist, I feel I can say that I don't dictate how things should work, but I think it has to do with boundaries overall.
And there are some women who do allow their men to dictate behavior, good or bad.

There are plenty of women who would LOVE to be the passive housewife and give you plenty of babies and she's not going to tell you how to behave, unless you treat her badly. That's pretty general saying that women dictate how men should behave. We only ask to be treated with respect and kindness. Treat us like you'd treat your mother.
