Well of course we all know by now that former football great O J Simpson has been arrested for armed robbery in Las Vegas, with his cohorts, apparently holding up some people, trying to get some of his personal property back, or so he claims was stolen from him. He has been denied bail and sitting in a jail cell because the judge considers him a flight risk. The media claims he could get up to 30 years for his crime. I find this quite comical, because some power team
attorneys will certainly come into the case and rescue him and he'll beat the rap, IMHO. What do you think?

Sure he will beat the rap again!! Black celebrities do not go to jail. Just ask Michael Jackson. They will play the race card and if there is even just one Black on that Jury O J walks. There is not a Black person anywhere in the USA that would vote to convict O J for anything.

He is inocent till proven guilty. Just as he should not say anything to the press, neither should the cops be giving out information on the evidence. It sounds like O.J. thinks he will get off and the police think they have enough evidence. It is really anybodys guess. This is a high interest case because he is a clelebrity who has been in trouble before. No matter what happens, O.J. will have the spot light and make money. The Goldbergs wll probably get the money he makes off his celebrity status.

In the judicial system today, anything is possible. You can bet the Goldmans and the Browns are circling, they smell blood.
As it stands now, the evidence is a mix. I don't think he will get a dream team of lawyers like the last time around as money is scarce for OJ.
In the court of public opinion, well he got away once but, not this time.
I don't think he'll get the full rap but will see some time.

It's not a given that he'll attract a "Dream Team" like he did the last time. He still has plenty of money for lawyers (despite losing the suit to the Goldmans), but nothing like the money he had for the first trial.

If the police have a strong case, it will be quite a fight. If not, it should collapse quickly.

At this point, most of his celebrity comes from having been the likely killer of his wife and her lover, so I don't see that helping.

And I don't think a jury in Las Vegas will be as sympathetic as a jury in La-La land.
