I catch them in a cup or on something, usually paper, and find a nice place for them outside where they can finish the rest of their life in relative peace (away from us). =)

I kill all spiders, either inside or outside the house. My daughter, who is 21 is terrified of them. I do spider killing duty, because I'm racking up points for the day when a snake makes it's appearance in my house. Then it's HER time to dispose! I'll be screaming on top of the counters.

I used to put them outside, then I realized the futility of it. Spiders that you find thriving in your home have next-to-no-chance of living outside. It would be like dumping someone in Siberia and expecting them to live long-term.

Spiders: generally ignore or kill.

Sugar ants: generally ignore, kill if they become a nuisance

Carpenter ants: exterminate, or track and find points of entry, then exterminate. Perform experiments on to figure out better ways of killing. Exterminate outdoors within urban environments.

Mosquitoes: kill on sight.

Moths: ignore or capture-and-release, flick if they are attracted to the light from my face.

Bees, wasps, or anything else that can sting: kill on sight.

Suspicious spiders: kill or remove from house and place 70 feet away in back yard.

Any other small flying insect: kill if convenient.

Centipedes: capture and release

Any other invertebrate: capture if convenient, kill if necessary, release if it survives. Exception: all octopus, squid, and cuttlefish species found indoors will be captured and put in an aquarium, a detailed description of events and confirming video will be sent to international news and science agencies.

Vertebrates (hypothetical, assuming they are not killed by a pet): capture and put in natural environment

I usually kill them inside. It's too hard to move them outside without damaging them. Last night my wife and I both fell asleep watching TV. I woke up in time to see a big hairy spider run across her face and shoulder. Maybe I'll tell her about it when she gets home from work tonight.

I leave them alone and it's funny that you pose this question. A week ago by my air conditioner there was a spider and the web was dusty and whatnot so I took my hand swifter and cleaned it up. I saw the spider run away thinking that he wouldn't come back. Next day I look and there he is. Built him another web. All I did was clean his house for him.

Well, I kill them if they are in my bedroom or in the bathroom. Otherwise I leave them alone. They kill the annoying bugs.
