You give the enemy a strange power over you when you hate. Hate makes a connection to the object. You often become like the object you hate. Bad will is not the natural state of man, but of the enemy. To get you to react with hate and resentment is a trick that sucks you into the enemy's game.

Yes, hate takes lots of time, thought, and energy. We give our enemies great power over us with our hatred. We can be bound to our enemies in a positive way however by refusing to hate. It may not change anything for them, but it will release us to use our powers as a positive force in the world.

Hi Rena,
Yes for enemies are interconnected to you. You can get rid of them physically but not in your mind. You are bound to hate your enemies as long as they live and reside in your memories. You ought to build rageness over the person you hate. As long as you create good ways to forgive them will you will necessary turn into a ball flame of love. That is what important in life for you to be bounded with friendship and not instill hatred to your enemies.
Nice question. Have a wonderful day!

it depends on the individual, that has Enemies. I hope that I do not have any Enemies, because I never have liked to fight with anyone, more less, where I Live, very, very, close to the Border with Mexico, and there have been a lot of drive-By shootings, in our City. The Authorities say that whoever is Killed, is because they were dealing with Drugs, that might be true, but sometimes it is the innocent, who get killed.

Hatred is an emotion. And it is an example of the destructive possibilities of emotions run amok. Some people even try to instill that particular emotion in you as a means to control you. The problem is that when you defeat a much hated enemy, the hatred remains. Yes, hatred can enslave us.

Hate of a person or enemy can and will create a preoccupation with them ie Bush/Hussein, thus binding the two together often for a lifetime and or history. Hate is nothing more than the abscense of love which is a bond that is just as strong.

We cannot repel what is not near.
We cannot acknowledge what is not present.
Accepting one's hate of another indeed ties and binds us to another. Hate is an active emotion, and one that little good can come out of. It is only perpetuated by continued acknowledging of the fact that we do indeed hate. In the deepest sense, to hate another we must bend our perceptions of the self and of the other and of all the lines that connect the two. We must glorify the self, ignoring those facets that are shared by the hated individual, and selectively attune ourselves to the worst aspects of the individual, creating incomplete perceptions that form an unavoidable dichotemy and bond in order to complete the human being, unbreakable as long as the hate is perpetuated.

Of course, the hate does keep you bound to them, the hate keeps them in your thoughts, It takes a strong personality to let something that brings you to feel hate for someone go, and proverbially "hate the sin but love the sinner", figuratively speaking. Brilliant question!

When you hate some one, you give them more power than mere bondage. You them them absolute control over you thinking, actions and growth. Hate is a powerful emotion that uses energy that you need to actually continue living. Hate can cause illness and just plan stupidity on a persons part that might lead to death. and destruction of the self and in cases other innocent people.
So yes........it (hate) weights that drag us into the pits of hell.

There is no good in hating the enemy.Because in the end, hatred will consume every person, who shares the same negative thoughts.By not hating we change the negative into positiveness. The flames of hate are doused with a ball of pure energy. And then we can live in peace.
