It has, and i don't know what to do because i can't actually get into windows. i have tried booting in safe mode and it gives me the same thing. at the top of the screen it has something that looks like command script. it says... UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME. does anybody have a clue what is wrong with my computer??? or maybe what i can do to fix it

In general terms start up errors especially the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) can be caused by many different problems and Windows has shut down in order to protect the system. Most BSOD problems are caused by installing new incompatible software or indeed new hardware that has an incorrect driver or somewhere along the way something has become corrupt.

It is possible that your boot sector or boot files on your hard drive have become corrupt. You can attempt a fix by booting from your ‘Recovery’ CD and following the instructions for ‘Repair’.
If and when the repair has finished you will get the C: prompt. Now type chkdsk /r (NOT chkdsk/r but chkdsk space /r) and press return (enter). This means run a program called check disk and repair any faults found on the hard drive. I am now going to assume that your Windows Loader file is corrupt and it is this that is causing your errors or BSOD message.

First of all you need to have your C prompt sitting at the root directory of your hard drive. This can be achieved by typing cd c:\
You need to rename your corrupt loader file by typing ren ntldr ntldr.old – did you get an error message? If so you might not be at the root directory so try cd c:\ again and then rename the ntldr file.
Now copy your good original loader file from the Recovery CD and put it back into the root directory of your hard drive. For this exercise I am going to assume that your CD drive is drive D but it could be drive E or even F so replace the D in my instructions with your own CD drive letter. Here goes:
Copy D:\i386\ntldr c:\

In English – Copy SPACE D:\i386\ntldr SPACE c:\ - you should now be able to re-boot.

Haven't seen this problem for a while. Here's what I know:

Blue Screen of Death
The Blue Screen of Death (sometimes called "bluescreen", "stop error" or just abbreviated as "BSOD") is the popular name for the screen displayed by Microsoft's Windows operating system when it cannot recover from, or is in danger of being unable to recover from, a system error (the Microsoft term is Stop error). There are two Windows error screens that are both referred to as the blue screen of death, with one (Windows NT 4/2000/XP/Vista) being significantly more serious than the other (Windows 9x). There are several causes of the blue screen popping up. It can be a poorly-written device driver, bad memory, damaged registry or usage of incompatible versions of DLLs (see more on the "Types of blue screens" section).

The blue screen of death in one form or another has been present in all Windows operating systems since Windows version 3.1. It is the successor of the less well-known black screen of death that occurs in OS/2 as well as MS-DOS[1]. In early builds of Windows Vista it was complemented with a red screen of death, used for boot loader errors.

Blue Screen of Death

Abbreviated BSOD, an error that can appear on computers running in a Windows environment. This includes even the earliest versions of Windows, such as Windows 3.0 and 3.1, and still occurs in later versions such as Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, and Windows 2000. Jokingly called the blue screen of death because when the error occurs, the screen turns blue, and the computer almost always freezes and requires rebooting.

make sure your PC is shut down,
AT THE SAME TIME YOU TURN YOUR PC ON AGAIN,
BEGIN TO click f 5 LIKE A MACHINE GUN until it open in DOS.
then READ THE SELECTION AND CHOICES set your computer to the last good setting you had before it went blue, you may have deleted some DLL'S
GOOD LUCK
