Hopefully no one. They haven't played anyone decent. They'll have to go undefeated to end at #1 with all other teams being one loss or more due to their easy Big East schedule.

im possibly the biggest WVU fan alive, and i dont think that they should be 1 at this point,,,, i would say that they are where they deserve to be, 5 early in the season is a good spot, LSU/Florida will knock each other off, and OK/TX will figure the rest out, and if WVU can continue to win then yes they should definately move up,,, Polls really are meaningless this early in the season,,,, just a thing for people to argue about,,,,, just keep winning and taking care of our own business and we shall climb and if we go undefeated and are one of the two then we should have a shot at that Title, if not then we dont deserve it,,,,,,,,,, just relax and allow the season to play out,,, dont give the polls too much credibility,,,
everyone keeps dogging Marshall, hello, did marshall not give OSU a fight just a year or so ago and they ONLY reason that we are playing them is because of the Governor in the state,,, and speaking of hard times, did Texas just not almost get beat by Central Florida? and they are being talked of as possible national title contenders,,,, so get off the WVU back,,, and just remember one thing,,, when the SEC brought their best in the Sugar Bowl,,, we beat them and did it soundly,,,, so stop hatin

WVU defense is fine and they have the most potent offense in the NCAA, I feel they should be #1 or #2 and will end up there by the end of the year.
Championship game will be WVU vs. and Undefeated SEC team.

West Virginia is the most overrated of the top teams. They would get blown off the field by Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, USC.

No, not quite good enough. And Bottom Contributor must have forgotten that Marshall-WVU is a rivalry game (well, at least for Marshall it is).

Are you serious? They lack serious defense. I watched that Maryland game and it was pretty close in the first half. They have great running backs but lack a complete team.

You have to be sound on offense and defense to be ranked that high. That is why USC is so good. I really don't like USC, but hey I'll give them that.

west virgina is the third best team in the country behind usc and lsu but i think west virgina can beat both usc and lsu if they played
