About three weeks ago, one of those days you want to forget. I thought I would be a little smart instead of just breaking a window to get in. So I climbed onto the roof from the side drain pipe, then I had to just climb to the balcony on the second floor and slide the door open, it looked easy.
So I climbed onto the balcony only to find that the door was locked there as well. The only other solution was the attic. The good news was the window hatch was only a bit further up, the bad news was there was no way I could climb up.
So I had to break the glass in the balcony door to get in, setting off the security alarm. I got in cleaned up the glass turned off the alarm and then went to have a shower.
I got out and went downstairs to find two patrol officers who had been called to a reported break in.
Thank you very much to my caring neighbor.

Not long ago I went out without my keys, managed to put a hanger (from a neighbour) through the letterbox to open the door (thank god than when I do have my keys I chubb lock the door because it was just too easy to get in!)
Then the other week as a friend left the lock broke, and we were locked in my flat, couldnt get out, even had someone climb out the window to try opening it with the keys that way but to no avail, literally had to rip the lock off the door to get out, and use the chubb lock to lock myself in overnight!!

The last time I locked myself out of my house was a couple months ago...someone had come to pick me up for work and I thought I had my keys in my backpack, but they were actually on the couch in the living room. I tried calling my husband on my cell to ask him to leave the door unlocked so I could come back right away (we were only a couple of blocks from my house at that point) to get my keys, but he had already left for work. Fortunately, I had keys to my parents house in my bag and went to stay at their house after work until my husband came home again that night and could let me back into the house. I always make sure I have my keys with me now whenever I leave!

A couple days ago--not a problem, I keep a spare key hidden outside the house. Years ago we were locked out, so I broke a basement window and I sent my small son through it to run around inside the house, and let us in. That is when I started hiding a key outside.

The last time was a month ago, and it was my daughter that locked me out. We had been looking after a friends house and she came home early to go to band practise (she's a little rock queen)......... anyway i told her to leave the door unlocked, and of course she didn't, it was during a thunder storm, so i had to wait in the car for an hour with one of my cats she had let out until she got back. ........I'm still cleaning stray cat hairs out of the car even now x x

About a year ago....my dad was away for the weekend (this was the Friday) so I had to borrow a set of ladders off the neighbours and climb in my window, Wasn't the best idea as i fell through the window and hurt my shoulder! At least I wasn't homeless for the weekend!

Was a hotel room with no identification on me, practically had to tell them last time I went to the loo! I realise Security and all, but I had been there a week and the same clerk I saw every evening...nightmare...finally got back in by pitching the fit to end all fits..embarrassed him, told to go look in the top right dresser drawer and he could find my panties in certain colours, that shut the little twit up!

Never. My house has an alarm system with a keypad outdoors and indoors!! Otherwise I would be spending all my time trying to break into my own house. I am really good at losing keys and things!! The alarm system has paid itself off by my not having to call locksmiths once a month!!!

I do this atleast three times a year, the last time being about 4 months ago. I had to call the landlord to let me in. Luckily we were renting and the landlord had a key because my husband was 4 hours away, and I had three kids with me.
