Meyer went beyond everyday time along with his questions; although Kerry provided to respond to. yet as quickly as Meyer suggested "cranium and Bones Society," the law enforcement officials grabbed him. is that this a twist of fate? Meyer grow to be performing like a jerk, no longer giving others a huge gamble to ask their questions; although he wasn't posing a risk to all and multiple, so i do no longer know why a super type of law enforcement officials could no longer administration him with out the taser. He resisted arrest (he gave the impression to be asking for arrest) yet he did no longer supply violence to all and multiple. did no longer those police have any training in "come-alongside" concepts? Why did they hotel to the taser? it type of feels fairly severe.

What I find troubling is had that person been at a Bush speech or a Republican candidate speech, the story would be all over the news, on every station with 24hr coverage. Democrats would be trying to spin it that the person giving the speech insight ed the guy into being tazed, that the officers were probably from Red states and hated free speech.
I agree with what happened to the guy, he was being an azz and needed to get a little lesson about being disruptive.

The funny thing is, apparently this student was a Kerry supporter. He just wanted to know why Kerry didn't contest the 2004 election. But of course, he's one of the radicals who think Bush should be overthrown and hanged for war crimes. What do you expect from a Kerry supporter.

A Great example of the liberal democrat version of free speech!
I guess this is also a great example of how Kerry handles himself when put under pressure that he is either not ready for or comfortable with.
Heck, President Bush goes through that type of questioning every single press conference with the liberal media. Why can't a democrat?

No, they did not.
I am FAR from a fan of John Kerry, but this young man was being disruptive, shouting Kerry down, and either resisting arrest, or possibly assaulting police officers. That kind of behavior should not be tolerated.
To protest is fine.
To me, FREE SPEECH is not everyone shouting over each other.

I'm thinking about buying a taser to keep in the car.
I do think the man went to far and got what he deserved. Freedom of Speech does not mean you are free to speak.

I have watched 2 different events, one was in a conference center that anti-war protestors interupted an wouldn't let the people who reserved the space actually speak.
the 2nd was a bunch of veterans from different wars and parents of veterans from Iraq, who were saying how we should stay in Iraq and not to let their kids death go in vein, and how their kids said they got such a warm welcome from the Iraqi people. That was interrupted by protestors also and there was some pushing and shoving.
Nobody was tased during either one of those outbursts.

I watched on the today show and I'm on a rant again about the erosion of civil liberties, I grew up in the 60's and we fought for what we thought was right. People are so apathetic now that if they don't stand up they will lose more than the ever even can imagine. I can't believe that people who will fight to the death over the government telling them they have to spay their dog allow things like this to happen

I saw something similiar happen to a man asking questions of Virginia Senator George Allen (R) in 2006.
The reason I point that out is because this is not indicative of only Democrats or Republicans. The ruling elite have positioned themselves so that they can "legally" silence anyone who asks questions they don't like.
Both Democrats and Republicans have seriously curtailed our 1st Amendment rights to free speech and it's something we all need to address.
