This thing is only for Inuyasha fans... and I don't like anybody saying nonsense answers...

Now, the Inuyasha movie 5 is currently being made in Japan and I know that's the truth because many months ago I've seen some trailers of it.So we better not debate on that.

What do you think? Should the whole Inuyasha thing end there?

In my opinion, that's not going to happen, see it like this, Sunrise announced that the series would be stopped (instead of putting on fillers) because it has recently came up with the manga.
But I think that's not it... You see, I think maybe they stopped it because many people just watch it the anime in TV for free and less are BUYING mangas of it.
Maybe the just want to get the market high and a little while return to making the series again.
But the problem is that the fans decreased drastically, only those very dedicated fans remained. And that causes them to stop doing it anylonger.

I also think that maybe by doing another movie, they can regain those fans of them again, that will allow them to make more episodes in the series...

My other thought is that also, maybe they are just waiting for the manga to stop and after that, continue with the series... But my questions in this thought of mine is that "why would they wait for the manga to end, when they know that when they stop Inuyasha long, the fans will decrease?"

I've only got one answer for myself with that but I don't know if it's satisfying. : The would like to end the manga first so that they can have the same results as my first thought has!...

Now, well then, I think you should continue your this explanation to inform everyone...

(sorry this is very long, please don't get mad ^_^V)

there is no 5th movie, there are plenty of fake trailers made by fans out there but they are all fake. Viz has not announced a 5th movie, and they would have by now. And Toho, the Japanese company who made the 4 films, would have released information about them making a 5th movie. It has been almost 4 years since the last movie, and t here is no market to make a 5th

Sunrise said the anime has been dropped and will not be picked up again because the anime caught up to the manga and the ratings were steadily dropping as the anime went on. The manga is still being created, and sales are high, so I doubt that the anime would prevent people from buying the manga. Furthermore, the manga and anime are quite different, so watching the anime is a different experience that buying the manga. Animes hardly ever outlast the manga, and most every anime ends before the manga does, or ends when the manga does. I doubt they will remake the anime or make another movie even if the manga stays popular. The anime is dead and people have moved on to other anime and keep reading the Manga.

The manga was serialized in Japan in the weekly publication Shonen Sunday by Shogakukan, not Viz they just published the English version. The four movies, which exist separate from the anime plot and manga too. The fourth movie was released three months after the series finale of InuYasha in Japan like 3 years ago. As of September 2007, there are no plans for a fifth movie. The manga is at Umm less see as of 19 September 2007) is chapter 522, Possession and Friday or Saturday should be 523. so to sum it anime dead manga alive and STRONG. Fan now or always read the manga!

The series cancelled back in 2004. Why would Sunrise or Viz go back to making Inuyasha? I mean, I'd rather see Sunrise do another season or OVA for Cowboy Bebop than InuYasha. But I know none of those are going to happen. This rumor about movie 5 has been spread around the internet for such a long time and bogus trailers have been made to fuel the fire. Viz and Sunrise would have announced a movie by now and also that news would have been posted on Anime News Network (the source of anime/manga news).

i don't think they would wait for the manga to stop. i mean, the manga is the original work after all. i know the anime ended WAAAAYYYYY befor the actual series ended, but i think when they make the next movie they shouldn't end it there, because it's an awesome series, and even if it lost some of it's fans, it's still one of the longest running, most popular series out there, and i love it!!!!!

Well, I think I don't side anyone... There is a big chance and possibility for that to happen... And also, if that's only a rumor, why only now?? There's a lot other good times for that to fuel up long times ago... Anyways, that's a good explanation and those are possible too.

I guess they want to gain some profits as well, but i'd rather it just end, rather than drag on endlessly with fillers. if not it gets a little boring, and will definately lose fans.
