Just a poll-type question:
Do you think that there are any remade songs that are better than the originals?
If so, which ones?

{IMHO, I think that "I'm a Believer" by Smashmouth is actually better than the Monkees' rendition}.

Thanks for the info Tom. I didn't know that. But I still think Smashmouth is better than the Monkees. :-)

In your example neither is the original. The song was written and originally performed by Neil Diamond. The Monkees had the first hit version.

Depends on your taste. Elvis did remakes that were much better however he preferred the originals often asking the original artist to sing along. Once you hear a song sung you seem to be hooked on that artist take or version and the old version is just not the same.
