Like skipping a stone, except with a bullet. On glass. What angle would you have to shoot it at so that it wouldn't break the glass?

On a standard drinking glass, with a 9mm bullet, exactly 7 degrees

Unfortunately it depends on the type of glass, the type of bullet and how quickly the bullet is going.

After that there is still a small dependence on how thick/heavy the glass is , how/if it is mounted in a frame , what shape it is.

If it's a plot device just assume it's a very small angle.

Depends on the glass - thickness, type, how it's mounted.

Depends on the bullet - what size, what caliber, what load behind it.

Depends on the gun - rifle, hand gun, and how far it is from the glass.

I REALLY DON'T RECOMMEND you go out and try to learn this empirically.....
