if you steam the garlic it should get rid of the taste AND smell and stop you stinking the next day. can't guarantee that it'll protect you against vampires though.

I eat one garlic clove every day. The taste never leaves, the burning never leaves. I also eat tons of garlic at dinner. I haven't had a cold in so long I don't know what I would do if I got one. People tell me even after I take a shower that I smell like garlic, I say thanks. They ask why I would thank them for noticing. I tell them that it means that it is working. I never get sick and I don't care what people think of the smell. I cannot smell it, and I am healthier than they are. If they are so upset about the way I smell they should try it, stay healthy and not worry what other people say. If everyone smelled like garlic, no one would complain because we would all smell the same. And we would all be healthier too.

Tried to find the answer for you online, but I'm horrible with searches, so will give you a direction instead. Dr. Patrick Quillin, in charge of nutrition for Cancer Treatment Centers of American, has talked about this before. There is supposedly a way to microwave the garlic clove and then eat it that makes it odorless and tasteless. I've heard about it several times on his daily health minutes on the Oasis radio network, but never paid attention since I take my garlic with food! YUM!

So, if you can find one of his books, or maybe Google the question, you might come up with his answer. I'd heard others talk about it too. Wish I'd paid more attention now.

Hope it heads you in the right direction.

You cannot get rid of the smell of raw garlic completely. You can take along with food and that may solve the problem to some extent.Except the its effect on lowering cholestrol ,there is no other advntage proved scientifically.Garlic capsules are as good as raw garlic or even better.(in capsules the harmful alkaloids etc are removed)

Since you haven't tried the same recipe before, I would stick with the recommended amt of garlic, even though it's roasted. If you have extra, you can taste & add more as needed. Love roasted garlic mashed potatoes! Good luck....

There is nothing you can do if you are using slivers of actual garlic. It is absorbed into the blood stream immediately, even through the pores in your skin if you simply touch it.

Why do you want to use raw garlic? Why don't you just add extra garlic to your cooking or just take capsules as before?

Lemon juice is the best "smell remover" I know of. It will remove the garlic or onion smell off your hands, out of the mouth.

they say garlic is a cancer fighting plant . is that why you intend to use it once a day? you can get to much of that ,you do know that dont you? better off staying with the capsule and going from there. no mess no stinky house or apts.
