You are right Georgie. The real 21st century according to all the books, did not start until Jan. 01,2001. Beings the Yankees haven't won since 2000, means the have not won this century. It is very simple, but some people think the 21st century started in 2000. It didn't, we started out with the year one, not zero. 0001 to 2001. It's that easy people. I am a true blue Yankee fan, and I can accept this.

Its funny that your best attack on the yanks is we haven't won in 6 years when we make it to the post season time and time again. Even this year when the Yankees started off slow we are still going to make it. Where is Detroit through all of this ohh yeah sitting on the sidelines watching another season slip through your hands. Now I think Detroit has some real talent and even a right fielder that put up second best stats for a run at MVP but before you talk look at history it kind of speaks for itself. Now as for Boston I agree with redsoxchick that posted earlier I love the rivalry and take it in stride and have fun. People who have ignorant comments to make are only upset with their own team and have no other way to lash out other than anger towards greatness

Yeah so whats your point here?? The sox didnt win in 86 years and every year i would be like this is the year winning the WS just to be seriously let down! If they want to cheer for there team which is phenomenal i dont see why this is a problem!! I cheer for my team and fight with the yankees fan about us beating them in the post season all in good fun!!! Sometimes wether your a fan or not you have to give props where props is due and well coming back from the start they had you have to respect that whether you think it was bought or not!!!

I am a red sox fan, I see no point to this question, You root for a team because you love them. Yankee fans should be proud of what there team has done this year, never mind the past, It is this year that counts. See the Yankees in the playoffs, Sorry Detriot

I guess so -- the 1st time you said that i thought you were wrong but i looked it up and u were right! That's the part where every1 gets thrown off. Hopefully, the Yankees can change that!!

Don't worry, we will win in the 21st century sooner or later. The Tigers haven't won since 1984, so I assume that winning your last championship in 23 years is a lot worse than not winning a championship in the 21st century.

Come on! As a Tiger fan I wish we could be like the Yankees. They say they buy thier championships but if that were true they'd win every year. The Yankees have made the playoffs 14 years in a row haven't they. Tigers.....not many.
I would love to experience back to back playoffs just once.

True, but its not as if they haven't won since before Joel Zumaya was born, or since the Reagan administration.

I am glad that you have taken it upon yourself, Georgie, to repeatedly remind us Yankee fans of that fact. It will happen though, as the Yankees are slowly weeding out the old, overpaid guys and bringing up young guys who want to win.

They didn't win it in the 21st century by a few months! The Tigers didn't win one in the 21st. Nor will they within the next 15 years buddy! WE GOT THE WILD CARD.
