Yes I do !! If that's the only way they can get starred than that's just sad!! I would never ask someone to give me a star cause I would think they gave it to me cause they felt sorry for me and I'm pathetic!! Stars are for good questions so other people can see who's putting out the good stuff not silly questions with no meaning so they do mean something or they are supposed too!!

It devalues them - stars are what you decide to give for a particularly interesting question - and to see people asking for them (and being given them simply for asking) takes away the warm feeling of someone approving what you just asked.
Edit - If you want lots of stars - just ask lots of interesting questions - easy.

Absolutely nothing wrong with begging- i can picture you on your knees in front of me - begging for a star- and i can guarantee that it would put stars in your eyes

Anyways, I find this EXTREMELY annyoing!! I call it star-whoring. Get your stars the old-fashioned way: earn them by asking intellingent, thought-provoking and/or funny questions!!
