" barking mad ideas " don't always fallow the word liberal. The mad barking is from the conservatives that are trying to protect their power base that supports big industry over the ideas of a free nation

Depends on your definition of barking mad. Mine would be for example, an entire nations government declaring themselves world police and bullying the rest of the planet.

You mean like Minimum Wage, child labor laws, OSHA, 40 hour week, anti-discrimination laws.
