I doubt that you would succeed. Your condition is treatable with mediation. I have a distant relative who is a nurse, wife and mother of two. She functions just fine when she stays on her medication.
You would have to get a doctor to say that you are disabled from any kind of work. Then contact the Social Security office nearest you for the mountain of paper work that you will have to fill out.

you will need to have been disabled for at least a year and the disablity needs to be determined to last for at least another year.
go to the social security office and apply..
make sure that you have a definitive diagnosis and medical records to back it up.
keep going to the doctors, therapy, and taking your medication.
keep records of all phone calls and letters from Soc. Sec.
show up to ALL medical/mental health appointments set by Social Security
expect to be turned down..SSI is particularly difficult to get. If you are denied, file an appeal and hire an attorney to represent you. Attorneys who handle soc sec claims are paid on a contigency basis (they get paid if they win your case) and they are paid directly most of the time from Soc. Security.
Good luck.

You do not deserve SSI. Don't be a lazy thing and suck off other workers.
There is no such thing as Bipolar and ADD, ADHD. Corrupt doctors and drug companies are making up these ailments. They are not real. Don't fall into the trap.
If you are having problems get a therapist, or go to group counseling, talk to a clergyman.
