innocence is impossible to regain.
a person loses their innocence through gaining knowledge of a reality. this type of innocence is equated with ignorance. such as ; a child who at home is treated with love ,respect and feels the world is a wonderful safe place,is suddenly exposed to a violent experience like a car wreck .or perhaps he experiences the death of a loved one. that experience has forever changed his view on life.
one you've gained knowledge of a reality you cant un know it.
denying that reality in hopes of clinging to innocence is the cause of many emotional illnesses.
there is a true innocence that is not effected by reality, in which a person remains positive about the RIGHTNESS of all experiances good and bad .
this innocence is based on trust .
trust can be built ,destroyed and rebuilt over and over.
in the case of the child above , although he has discoverd reality sucks sometimes ,he recognizes that the important things havent changed.he can always trust in the love of his family.
peace><>

Innocence is harder to regain because you already know the unknown. Once you have the idea it is already their in the memory. Unlike trust it could be regained if given the opportunity for another try. Innocence in the child starts to diminsh once he learns to acquire knowledge and understanding.

Ummm, innocence cannot be regained if we define innocence as lack of previous experience.
But trust ... trust can be regained and, as a matter of fact, should be regained ... in the dinterests of the person himself. It's a matter of choice really: you either choose to be trusting or not.

Innocence is darn near impossible to regain once it is lost. You can gain back the trust of someone...it may take time, but it can happen.

innocence is harder to regain because you can't go back to be innocence again once you are not. trust can be regain if they proved that they have learned their lessons.

Innocence
Once it`s lost in a harsh way it would never be erased in one`s memory and it would haunt the person forever. Trust could be regained given more time.

both can be regained, if a persons willing to work for it. trust takes time and innocence takes a moment . Oprah winfrey said the real voyage of discovery consists of not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.." and i think any person who's willing to rethink or think differently has gained back there innocence! =).
