Hi there,

Does anyone know of anything that can remove permanent marker pen from things. My wife phoned me up at work this morning raging because my little boy had found our permanent marker & drawn all over our marble fireplace, cream suite, rug & laminate floors.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Nail Polish remover would work pretty well and should be available in the house.

As always, test an area first before using it.

Hmmmmm not much does remove it, but try a Mr. Clean Eraser sponge. That will at the least make it lighter. It should come off the marble and laminate easier than the carpet.

DE SOLV IT GRAFFITI REMOVER - When some little toe rag graffitied over mine and my neighbours wall (with permanent marker pen) we managed to remove it with this. It's available in most of the large DIY shops ie B&Q etc. You can buy it in liquid form or in a tub of wipes.

Kids, don't you just luv 'em

Methylated spirit works quickly to remove ink and grass stains , but it can also remove dye from fabric. , For the floor yes. For the marble use white spirit or pure soap making sure you rinse and dry quickly with a chamois leather. For your suite I can not suggest anything as you did´t say what material it was made from. God bless the little ones, we can´t put the blame on them for our mistakes

It is pretty permanent on some of those surfaces. You can move or remodel. Hope you are not renting.
