I am always polite to waiting staff and the people at Pizza Hut when I call for a delivery for fear of what they could do to my food!

i work as a waitress and find the best way to deal with difficult guests is to smile and be polite to them, i get all the difficult guests where i work and if they are rude i still smile and get on with my job, the only time i have said anything back is when a male guest was really rude to another waitress he wouldn't stop shouting across the restaurant that she had put so much weight on, so i told him he hadn't lost the weight around his mouth and to stop being rude to her or i wouldn't get his dinner, he apologised the next day and was polite for the rest of his holiday, i still believe that even if someone is rude to you it should always be met with politeness there is no point in lowering yourself to their level.

If they take to long to order, for starters the covers may be put up which would tip them over the edge forcing them to dessert the place
