How can I get my FTP to connect to the Internet?

Some sites I can connect while others I cannot due to the FTP. My HTTP works fine.

Not every web site is an FTP site. There are many fewer FTP sites than web sites. In order to FTP to a server, they have to set up an FTP site and allow people to enter.

you need to get ip address of your website to login using ftp
use softwares like cuteftp to easy upload the file
using dreamwever also if u give write url to get in your website
