Being a Lions fan anything is better then Joey Harrington. Just as long as Leftwich stays healthy. I also heard they were looking at derek anderson but after this past week dont think Browns are looking to move him.

Leftwich isn't mobile. Not the right guy for the job behind that O-Line. The Atlanta line isn't good enough to protect a pocket passer. Harrington has some mobility and he's still getting sacked like heck. Leftwich would be target practice for pass rushers.

It extra perfect be Byron Leftwich.... i'm no longer a huge fan of his former team the Jaguars yet i'm helpful he has so a lot extra on his sleeve than Joey Harrington, who the two for his 2 former communities did no longer incredibly flown that best... (in case you recognize what I advise) as nicely, In Byron's college days, he has shown he could additionally run, if he brings that back back alongside with the Atlanta's playbook.... Quarterback in Atlanta will nonetheless stay exciting regardless of Vick's absence....

From my view, anything is better than Joey. However, the guy earlier that said a black QB would fill the stands is absolutely correct. If a white person doesn't like a black QB we are racist. But a whole city would rather have a losing black QB then a good white QB because that's pride. I don't get it. But the caucasian population is always racist, even though there is a Miss Black USA, the black caucus, BET, black coaches association...it goes on and on....who is really dividing this country??
back to the point though, sorry about my rant, it just ticks me off.....Joey is horrible, Leftwich isn't....I would rather have him over Joey any day. And one more thing, my 10 year old nephew told us the other day it's JOE, NOT JOEY....sheesh. Joey, go play the piano.

Byron Leftwich is one of the toughest men on the planet. He can play through pain. Good move.

That would have been a great move if done in the preseason when the guy could have learned the system quick enough to make a difference. With Leftwich, they could be a playoff team in the NFC, however, 2 games into the season is probably too late for him to make a difference.

Normally I would say no, but with Joey as your QB I guess you should try anything. Has anybody stopped to think, with all the really crappy QB play we've seen already, nobody but Atlanta seems even remotely interested in Leftwich?

Definitely!!! The Falcons have major QB problems because of the Michael Vick saga. Joey Harrington has never been the answer for anyone and never will be. One has to at least give credit to the Falcons for trying to salvage the season instead of being content with 2-14 or 3-13.

Its not going to help. They just don't have a good team. Leftwich isn't that good. Spend the money on an OL and some WR's that will catch the ball.

Any way that you can upgrade from Joey Harrington is a good move.
I'll bet that getting cut has lit a fire under Byron. He'll perform, at least well enough to get the Falcons through the year

Being black or white has nothing to do with it. Leftwich appears to be lazy to me. Maybe it's just the way he carries himself. I dont know. But Harrington isn't much better.
Yes, there is a reason Byron was cut from J-Ville. He's lazy
