or would you rather have no one (yourself included) responsible for any wrongs ever done?
(I'm not talking about a human judicial system either, I'm talking about a supreme moral judging of the souls of men.)
What effect would your decision have on society?
(considering everyone would know they can either get away with anything they want, or they'll have to give an account for every impurity in their lives)

and yes, in order to answer the question you must have the presupposition that right and wrong exist.

I do not think that people have to answer for what they think, but if they act on those thought then yes I believe if it was something not morally right that they did they should answer for it. If you believe in higher power, then I guess they are the judge, of right and wrong and you would have to answer to that being / thing / higher power.

If no one was held accountable for there actions the world would be dreadful, the truth wouldn't even be distinguishable from a lie. The world would run wild and crazy and no one would care if they took another life of what they did.

It terrifies me that something (higher power) would judge me on everything I have done and will do. Since this is so frightening I suppose that other people would be trying to live up to what they think is right. Maybe that would be a good thing but, would people truly live that way always worrying about there soul/ spirit.

I do not know if I am making sense at all.

I would love to hear your opinion on the matter. If you have time to e-mail me about it would you please.

Judging thoughts as wrong is part of the problem. Without accepting responsibility, no one can change their thoughts.

Responsibility is often confused with blame and fault. Blaming people or the self for anything is highly unproductive and usually leads to punishment. Not a way of life for me.

I would rather believe that I am responsible for all the bad crap in my life because then I feel like I have some control to shift focus and change it...but I think ultimately free will is a total sham and that the universe is total chaos.

I AM responsible for EVERYTHING I've ever done, right, wrong or indifferent.

If everyone were responsible for their own actions, we wouldn't have a liberal, leftist political party(Democrats) and we would not have an ever increasing welfare state, sponsored by the party listed above.

There is a response to everything we do, think, or say... both good and bad. The thing that confuses people is the "time value."

Good things and bad things happen, and the average person doesn't know where it came from!!!

I would rather be responsible only if everyone would be so evenly or else we'd be in the same state of existence we are in now.

It is consequence rather than any taking of responsibility that really matters.... and consequence has to be faced irrespective of whether one takes responsibility or not.
