Just budget to set aside a certain amount for your savings account. Some companies even have a credit union, and will automatically deduct an amount of your choice to be put into the credit union fund. If you do not have that option, make a point of doing it yourself. Every little bit will add up, and you will be able to collect some interest if you keep it in a savings account, until you have enough to invest in a more lucrative way.

Are you saying that your mom is not working and you're supporting her?
If that's the case than, it's good to help her. However, you need to also be a friend to her and support her in finding a job. A parent shouldn't do that to their child. Your mom is already feeling bad about taking your money, she probably feel like the lowest thing on earth. But don't make it worst, just be a friend and talk to her.

Get your own place and send her what's left over at the end of your bill-paying and pay periods. If you've saved what you originally planned and paid all your own bills, you can pat yourself on the back and never have to feel like you're being taken advantage of; if you can't, then you know the answer!

Do you live at home? If not, then she is not your responsibility.
