My atheros wireless adapter is not working. i am using an old acer laptop, i had just installed atheros wireless adapter into it and it is not working. i went to device manager and saw the atheros wireless i clicked propeties and it says 'Device not working' Please heal me with this

Yes, it does sound like a driver problem. You probably installed the hardware but not the software driver for it. If you do not have one contact the company you bought the adapter from for the driver or search the internet for the model you are using....

there may be security swtich to turn in off
next go into the hardware device device manager
my computer > right click > properties > hardware > device manager
go down the list to networking
look for the card/ adapter
make sure it is enabled
if not there you will have to install the device driver ( install program for network card0

I am sure that this could be the driver problem ...go to this site and download the latest drivers... I am sure this will help you because one of my friend had a same problem , we updated the drivers and it started working properly.
