Mjollnir also known as Mjolnir, Mjollner

Mjollnir: Thor's Hammer. Like Thor, it has a very hot head, and he has to wear iron gauntlets to handle it.

Mjollnir was made by the dwarfs, who are specialists in the weapons industry. For a hammer, it's a formidable bit of kit. When Thor throws it into the sky, lightning issues forth. Usually followed by trouble. And its boomerang tendencies means he never has to worry about it getting lost.

That's because Thor's was ... Loki was bisexual, and from a lot of the myths, it seems he had the hots for Thor. There's a myth about Loki shaving the golden hair of Sif, Thor's wife. The common interpretation is that this is symbolic of harvesting wheat, and Sif was the goddess of the harvest. My personal believe is that Loki shaved Sif to make a wig of her hair to try to fool Thor into bed!!

Thor was not gay, though he was very happy with his bride Sif. She was a goddess of the field and agriculture. In myth his brother Loki cut off her hair, causing Thors wrath.
Her hair was replaced strand for strand with gold by the gnomes to appease both husband and wife.
This myth is reflected in the superstitions that surround the Rowantree. Associated with thunder and lightening, rhymes invovle warnings of being cursed or struck down for cutting or felling the tree.

The symbol of a phallus is a sign of strength... it doesn't mean anything sexual *Sigh* And Thor's Hammer is a symbol of that strength.

Amazing what people will pull out of their backsides. ^_^

Actually Thor's wife is Sif. Little is known of Her other than She had golden hair that Loki cut off so the dwarves made Her new hair from gold. Thor also has a mistress named Járnsaxa, who is a giantess. Thor fathered children with both women.

No, Thor is not gay. He's actually quite the mack-daddy, like his father. His wife is one of the most beautiful goddesses in Asgard, and there are many stories of him in the Eddas and Sagas where he seduces mortal women and etin women alike.

Thor was not gay, Mjollnir was used not only as a weapon by him but historically it was used during heathen marriages to hallow the bride, it was placed on her lap. Thor wore MANY hats, one being associated with fertility, do you hear that? F-E-R-T-I-L-I-T-Y, not only for couples, but for crops, good harvests, BOUNTY, in any form.....

Thrymskvitha:
30: Then loud spake Thrym, | the giants' leader:
"Bring in the hammer | to hallow the bride;
On the maiden's knees | let Mjollnir lie,
That us both the band | of Vor may bless."

He did dress up like Freya in the Eddic lay Thrymskvitha to get Mjollnir back from the giant Thrym who had stolen it. I suggest you read it.

If you want to see a true phallic symbol, check out the statues of Freyr.

That I know of, only Loki and Odin have changed shape to a female form, Loki changed into a mare and odin possibly into a witch, they both flung accusations at each other in Lokasenna: http://www.sacred-texts.com/neu/poe/poe10.htm

Othin spake:
23. "Though I gave to him | who deserved not the gift,
To the baser, the battle's prize;
Winters eight | wast thou under the earth,
Milking the cows as a maid,
(Ay, and babes didst thou bear;
Unmanly thy soul must seem.)"

Loki spake:
24. "They say that with spells | in Samsey once
Like witches with charms didst thou work;
And in witch's guise | among men didst thou go;
Unmanly thy soul must seem."

Please try to read and educate yourself before posting, it makes you look less foolish.

GSD mon and veronica: T.D. cupcakes, sorry but ummmmmmmm, NO

Ali-tree: Loki was not Thor's brother.

"Her hair was replaced strand for strand with gold by the gnomes"

DWARVES, NOT gnomes.............................

"to appease both husband and wife."

Nooooooooooo.....it was either Loki get her hair replaced or Thor was gonna cave his skull in, you don't appease Thor, you either fix it or your in trouble.

"This myth is reflected in the superstitions that surround the Rowantree. Associated with thunder and lightening, rhymes invovle warnings of being cursed or struck down for cutting or felling the tree."

It is??????? where the heck did you get that from? links to back up please
