Sorry to say that is fact!
Sid Grimm60 mirrors my feelings as does Sharon P.
There isn't much more I can say!
It's a sad state of affairs when it feels as if you are 'damned if you do and damned if you don't'!

lol....To be fair I am not, nor ever intend to be married hun. However just like with my Ex, if I am not happy forget the hassle I would get out of it. At the end of the day staying together because of the hassle, just prolongs the pain, you kind of end up hateing each other, and destroying each other.
Best to go through a short term period of hassle and stress for the longer term benefits babes x

I have a feeling that is more common than not!
My x wifey ran away with her boss.
She was from Quebec, Canada and even though she dared NOT cause a single fuss AND I made them pay, it still took THREE tries to get the devorce done.
Part of it was cause I wouldn't look that demon in the face any more and we had to do it all in mail. But I almost gave up because of the hassle!
Next marriage... will be done under the eyes of God and a couple promises and perhaps even a ring and thats IT! NEVER..NEVER...NEVER again will I invite my state to get involved in my private life again! F*** licenses!
Its ignorant on our parts and its a SCAM to feed the governments pockets! Big Brother can take ITS crap in someone elses secret garden next time!

No I'm married because I want to be. If I really wanted to get out then I would, the hassle would be something to take in my stride. I can see you point though with this question.

No way - I am very happy with my hubby of 2 years. Have been divorced before and that was a loooooong drawn out affair - 4.5 years to be precise and I still had to share a house with him all that time. I have at last found happiness with the love of my life. My advice to anyone contemplating divorce is, if you are sure it is what you want, then go for it because life on this earth is far too short and it is better to be happy alone than unhappily married to someone you don't want to be married too.

I'm still technically married because annulment is 20x more difficult and as many times more expensive than getting a divorce. Unfortunately that's my only option since there's no divorce here where i am.
