What a great question for fans. I know I will get so many different opinions. I feel that Super Bowl wins are a team win. Just look at how crappy Manning did up until the Super Bowl. I feel Brady is only getting better as wel as Manning. Although, I think their is no comparison in who is better. Manning may be the best QB in history. Most people want to put Montana and Young up there but football has changed. Most importantly, think of how players are looked at once they are done and gone. They get more respect. How many teams hit the playoffs every damn year? That is a hard task. Brady is only overshadowed as the second best qb in the last 20 years because of Manning.

Ok douche bag, actually I am a Manning and Brady fan. The funny thing is that people don't realize Super Bowls are a team sport. If you really think Brady can hold a candle to Manning, than you're just a Manning hatter because he's good and a Pats fan.

Just to set the record straight, I don't get the whole Manning can't produce under pressuer idea. Isn't he the king of comebacks? Didn't he throw the td while being sacked in the Super Bowl. Do you people see how many great passes he throws right before being hit? I think you idiots follow all the bs other people say. The sad thing is if they go 15-1 and don't make it to the Super Bowl you will still say the same bs.

Brady's won 3 SB's wiTh 4th string receivers, and 3rd string running backs.
He loves football! Manning is a dart thrower, not as much of a overall football player.

Gee dude, how deluded are you? Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are very good quarterbacks...but Peyton the greatest of all time?
Get real Brett Favre is still playing. He just set the all time record for most victories for a quarterback.
How many teams hit the playoffs every year, quite a few if you review football history.
Can you say Green Bay Packers with Bart Starr?
How about the Pittsburgh Steelers and Terry Bradshaw?
Can you say 4 Super Bowl Trophies like Bradshaw the the Steelers?
How about Joe Montana and the 49ers 4 SuperBowl Championships?
What about the Buffalo Bills? 5 Straight strips to the Superbowl and no victories?
What about John Elway and the Denver Broncos? How about Roger Staubach and the Dallas Cowboys?
What about Troy Aikman and the Dallas Cowboys...didn't he win 3 Super Bowl Trophies?
This is not a knock against Peyton Manning nor Tom Brady, they are fine Quarterbacks...but best of all time?
Those must not be cigarettes you are smoking....must be laced with crack!!!

For some reason, they think that way because Brady has more rings than Manning. I definitely don't agree with that.
You have to compare the players by their skills, and stats. Winning/losing is a result of the TEAM, not directly because of who the better quarterback is. New England has usually had a superior defense to Indy, but that's always ignored in the Brady-Manning comparisons.
Nobody ever says Troy Brown is a better wide receiver than Terrell Owens because of the SB rings.

I really don't understand it.
Sure, Brady has been on a couple of championship teams but that is completely irrelevant to the question of who is a better QUARTERBACK. Anyone who thinks differently obviously does not understand that football is entirely a team game. Judging individual players for team achievements is ridiculous.
There is not a single meaningful statistic where Brady is even close to Manning. Beyond the statistics Manning is a better leader because he calls all of the plays for a very successful offense. Brady does not.
I also don't understand why Brady is called such a clutch quarterback. I see a guy who fumbled his first playoff game away only to have it given back on a bad call. He then threw playoff game losers in Denver and Indianapolis in addition to a game loser in San Diego which came back due to an idiot showboating cornerback who failed to down the ball. Where is the clutch performance in that?
Brady has looked good so far this season against some suspect pass defenses but I will be very surprised to see it continue. The Patriots look like a house of cards. Very impressive, oooooooh, ahhhhhh. Flip out a few cards and you have a whole lot of nothing. They are an old and injury prone football team so I hope their fans enjoy it until someone opens a window and the whole thing collapses.
Manning is clearly the best in the game right now.

I think Manning is the better passer, but brady is the better quarterback. he handles pressure better, he is smarter and he manages the game better.
Second point take mannings first 6 years of playing and look his passer rating, its almost identical to brady's in mannings 7th year playing he set an NFL record with 121 passer rating. Brady has his recievers now, it would be interesting to see if that record holds. (Brady currently has 134 passer rating, but the season is still young).
You also mention how superbowl wins are team wins. I agree. So is the passing game overall, Brady before this season has never had a recieving core like manning has had throughout his career. If you gave Peyton Manning the recievers brady had last season, Peyton Manning would probably not be going 12-4. This year brady has arguably as good of a recieving group as Manning(its close) so see how well they do and then see who is better.

The reason people think Brady is better than Manning is answered by the circus. Both Brady and the Circus have 2 more rings that Manning.

Probably because of his looks. He's much better looking. It can't be play, because in everything except Superbowl victories, Manning has the edge. I think it's 1> Manning, 2> Brady 3> everybody else. Those 2 are so beyond anyone else in the league right now, it's scarry. But, Manning is the better QB.

Well, the first word in your name is accurate...You're nuts...Joe Montana is the best QB in history...Manning has to win 3 more SBs to be even mentioned in the same breath as Joe Montana...
Tom Brady is the best QB in the NFL right now...Maybe you missed his dismantling of the Chargers on Sunday...and he is ONE SB away from being in the same league as Montana...and that is going to happen this year...But you are obviously a Peyton fan...Manning is still good...but he is #2 behind Brady in the league...Mannings SB was questionable with the ridiculous media frenzy/lovefest surrounding him last season, not to mention the questionable holding and pass interference calls against the Patriots late in the AFC Championship game...

Manning is better. Joe Montana was part of a great system with lots of great teammates, and he had the greatest receiver (Jerry Rice) to whom he would throw little 5 yard dump passes who would then run 80 yards to score. On the stat sheet it says that he threw an 85 Yard TD pass, but it was 95% the receiver's doing. The most overrated of all time? Joe Montana.

Just look at what Brady led the Patriots to do to the Chargers on sunday night... Yahoo! Sports News referred to it as a "3 hour THRASHING" Face it... the Patriots are an AMAZING team and their fearless leader is Tom Brady. No matter if you like him or not... Brady is arguably the best QB in the game today.
Don't get me wrong, Manning's a great QB too... he just doesn't have as much professional experience as Brady.
on a side note... I wouldn't compare either of them to the greatness of Joe Montana or Steve Young... Montana set ALOT of records in his days... and when Steve Young took over for the 49ers... he broke every single one of those records. maybe one day in the future Brady, or even Manning, will be a fair comparison to them
