Are you buying one outright or building one from your own components? If you're building one (as I always do because it's inevitably cheaper), I'd go for:

A Core 2 Duo processor
2 GB of RAM
X1950XT graphics card, or if you can't get one, X1950 Pro.
And then of course you'll need a case, power supply, motherboard and optical drives.

If you're interested in building your own, I'd also recommend visiting www.buildyourown.org.uk and checking out the forums. It's an english site but the principles remain the same. Hope that helps.

I even have made this undemanding build without those products! i will examine back later so in case you are able to edit your question so i understand in case you choose a Mouse and Keyboard and exhibit! Mobo - Asustek P5Q-professional RAM - OCZ Gold version 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 twin Channel (OCZ2G10664GK) PSU - Corsair 520 HX HDD - Western digital Caviar Blue 250GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (WD2500AAKS) GPU - Gigabyte OC ATI Radeon HD 4350 512MB "Low Profile" DDR2 VGA/DVI/HDMI (PCI-show) - Retail Gigabyte OC ATI Radeon HD 4350 512MB "Low Profile" DDR2 VGA/DVI/HDMI (PCI-show) - Retail CPU - E5200 i understand you stated you will no longer use it for gaming so there is quite no choose for a photographs card in any respect. yet for one in all those low-cost cost this is well worth getting one besides, purely in case;) entire cost is- £472+PnP of £20. £492 entire. Edit: ok no choose for peripherals then! a good case is a might desire to in recent times, especially for airflow and a good length which you would be able to in nice condition each thing you choose. The Antec 3 hundred is definitely one in all the final circumstances approximately, probable the final for £50, and that i might advise it as a might desire to. With this occasion you need to have a case which will final for years yet nevertheless has sufficient room to throw extra factors into!
