Hello, Back 1641 BC a dwarf wanted to get a closer look at the moon in the night sky so he made some taller legs. That morning he said to his woman, it felt that i touched the moon with my made stilts-on. His woman slightly hard of hearing thought he said it was made of Stilton and being as all women do spread the news far and wide that how it all started. (sounds cheesy i know but trust me)

The moon is made of GREEN CHEESE! It probably comes from John Heywood's Proverbs (1546) that "the moon is made of a green cheese." but Greene refers here- not to the color, as many think, but to being new or not aged"
