OK, where does the words "Seperation","Church", and "state" appear in the constitution?
I was asking about political parties and what their view past or present would be in regards to Chritianity.

Hahaha...now look up the intent behind that.
Again, just curious about the parties.

Depends how you define Christian.
If your answer is "believe that the Bible is infallible", then the answer is Republicans.
If your answer is "believe that the message of Jesus Christ was to love one another", then the answer is Democrats.

a real christian never turns to politics, but serves people humbly...that in fact is the central philosophy in Christianity...power goes along with greed...and when youre a member of a political group (wether it be white or black), of the richest and strongest country on earth today, it means you understand the rules of engagement (hit and run), and participate in it.
so unfortunately for many people who wont like my answer.. politics will never conform with christianity,
and it was jesus himself who declared that his kingdom was not of this world..and so on...sorry for ruining your political discussion

"Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion"
That's the first amendment. That's separation of Church and State and protects each from the other.
As far as Christian roots are concerned: Who cares?

I don't believe either party resembles their earliest roots.
The main differences, in my opinion, between the parties are these.
1. Democrats don't beleive they have the right to make people live by their Christian beliefs. I beleive I have the right to telly you what and why I believe, but not the right to make you live by them.
2. Democrats believe in social programs through the goverment to help people, we are not SOCIALIST. Republicans don't.

Loving one another corresponds not to turning one's head and looking the other way, but instead, to holding one responsible for their actions and demanding/expecting everyone live up to their highest potential.
This is the Republican Party's heart and soul.

Neither. They both invoke God when they start a war that neither has won since 1945.

Why is religion even a factor? Have you heard of the separation of church and state?

Neither.
They both manipulate the bible into their own agenda.
Jesus himself said give to Caesar what is Caesar's and give to God what is God's.
So even Jesus himself said that religion has no place in politics.
