What I am refering to is when questions like seperation of church and state come up. It helps to know who has the right to be heard. A) The founders who would probably lean one way or, B) the current citizens who might lean the opposite.
It helps to know the answer to that for many questions.
Do we have the right to change the original laws?
I'm not on either side, just curioud.

The US belongs to the people, the forefathers and the present and the future. Amendments can be made yes but great care needs to be instilled so frivolous trendy thinking doesn't ruin us all. The Constitution is fine the way it is leave it. And please show me IN The Constitution where it says separation of church and state. That was the supreme court not the constitution. The supreme court does not practice constitutional law as it should.

The Founding Fathers, in their wisdom, included in the Constitution a provision for amending the Constitution to fit changing conditions, or to right wrongs that hadn't yet been resolved.

We are very lucky to have a revolutionary government of founders that was so wise and so humble at the same time. Most revolutionaries in history have been power-mad malcontents who turned to butchery once in power.

Some of Congress and Senate In Both Parties, don't seem to get it, that they are Servants of the people and not the other way around as they give sovereignty away and reward illegals who break the law by sneaking legislation in that will keep them here.

The country is of the People for the People and By the People!

Of course we have the right to change th Constitution, that's what amendments are for.

However, separation of Church and State is a good thing which benefits our diverse citizenry as well as our diverse religious establishments. It would be foolish to get rid of it.

Some say the people , some say the governments . Well I believe people who live in the US and were born here are just visiting . After all can we make laws ? Can we even suggest them ? Can we oppose a war and make it so it doesn't happen ? Do we control our own interest rates ? I could go on and on but I think you see the point .

I mean the founders had reasons for what they did... and we shouldn't lose sight of those reasons...

but in the end... the government is here to serve the people... and we are now the American citizenship...

I mean... our forefathers also had legal slavery... I don't think they were right on everything...

Knock Knock....... your just not getting it huh? Our country is no more, we just think it is here...... we are what you call "going thru the motions." Basically the little people are fighting about things like you are asking while the big people run the world so they can have everything.

Well, we vote in our representatives. Talk to them if you want something changed. (Well, at least where it hasn't been farmed out to private industry which doesn't answer to "we the people" and does a poor job at public works)
