the new rule free hit is a rule in which a bowler oversteps and there is a front-foot No-ball which gives the batting team one extra run and an extra ball as well.this extra ball is just the next ball after the no-ball and it is known as the free hit ball in this the batsman can hit as he likes and he will not be declared out by the umpire even if he is caught or bold or any other thing except being run-out.so that is the good thing for the batsmen.

It means that if the bowler bowls a no ball, the ball after that is a free hit meaning that on the next ball the batsmen cannot be bowled, caught or stumped the only thing that can happen is the batsmen can get run out.
The fielding captain cannot change the field during a free hit unless there is a left hand, right hand combination.

In the event of a No Ball bowled by the bowler, the batting side is awarded 2 runs and also a free hit,. In the free hit, batsman cannot be given ou only if it is a run out. Hence batsman can hit the ball to any part of the ground and score runs.

when a bowler bowls a front foot no ball( if he oversteps while delivering the ball to the batsmen) the batsmen is awarded a free hit off the next ball ,that is a batsmen can get out only by running himself out ,
the advantage is that the batsmen knows that he cannot be declared out either by a catch or being bowled so he can have a wild swing at the ball confidently

If the bowler bowls a no ball batsman will be awarded by two extra runs and the free hit ball will be given. On the free hit ball batsman cannot out by any means except the run out. It is good for the batsman because he can hit the ball at his will without the fear of getting out by catch or bowled.

it is stated in the rules of 20 20 cricket matches that
* Should a bowler deliver a no ball by overstepping the popping crease, it costs 2 runs and his next delivery is designated a free-hit, from which the batsman can only be dismissed through a run out, for hitting the ball twice, obstructing the field or handling the ball, as is the case for the original "no ball".

The new rule meant that when a bowler bowls a no ball the the delivery he bowls the batsman can not be out by the ways you can be given out in a normal game except in a run out situation. The new rule will make the bowlers more accurate and disciplined to avoid giving away bonus runs as less no balls means less time lost in a match."

Free hit - is when a bowler like Mohammad Asif running approach crosses the bowling line, that is considered no ball which means free hit also for the 20-20 match-ups only.
Free hit - means the batsman can only get out by a run out.
batsman can't get out by any other way.
&
the field can't change also.
