The implication is certainly that Branson feels the McCanns were not guilty of child neglect. If the McCanns are not prosecuted, or at the very least reprimanded, by Social Services , then that implies that the McCanns decision to leave three toddlers alone in an unlocked apartment is responsible parenting. This sets a dangerous precedent for other neglectful parents. I would say then, that both Branson and Leicestershire Social Services are condoning child neglect.

It makes me wonder if all those who feel the 'need' to 'defend child neglectors' would feel the same if it had been their child the Mc's and their cronies were checking on, would they still defend them then? My children are most precious in my life and I would never ever leave them alone unless they were with someone who I could totally trust... Edit: that about somes the 'mother' of the century up little weed! Well said elsie, couldn't agree more. Heidi, well said. There are many more of these 'stupid' people about and it's not hard to notice who!

What next? Will you claim that all customers of Virgin Media or anyone who uses Virgin trains supports child neglect?
Some people just have to be ridiculous and you are one of them with that type of comment.
Innocent until proven guilty and it's not going to happen.

Trev, the McCanns are accused of murdering their Madeleine. Branson believes in their implicit innocence of murdering their Madeleine.
This not about leaving their babies unattended that night.
That was wrong & they have been met with by Social Services.
There is a huge difference between Child Neglect & Murder.
Connecting or confusing the 2 is not only un-called for...its cruel.

Number 1.....I don't for one think they killed their child, And I do believe the money they raised was/is for helping find maddie. Number 2.....I do feel very angry at the fact they left her bla bla, have said that a million times....but what is making me angry now is hand outs like this. Help from big celebs?? Why?? If my child went missing tomorrow would Mr Branson give me a huge sum of money?

Although most people disagree with the fact that they left her on her own in the room, you can't hold this against them forever if their daughter was taken. If they are innocent which I'm sure they are, they deserve all the help they can get. Yes, they made a mistake but so do lots of parents.
