And when you turned around, was someone actually there? I know lots of people have this feeling (I felt it today), but I'm wondering how accurate this feeling actually is.

In my case, I felt it in the grocery store, and I even heard footsteps! But then I turned around and no one was there. I finally figured out it was someone in the next aisle, clicking her high heels just so . . . kind of mind-boggling until I figured it out, though.

I think electro magnetic fields in the area where someone experiences this has something to do with it.

yeah that has happened to me a few times before. I think its just our own little defense mechanism allowing us to be aware of our surroundings
