People fight, usually because they don't agree with one another's opinion on a certain subject matter. The World is a fast paced place and we have gotten used to things being done fast. No patience. Damn near every business you think of has a drive-through now a days.Starbucks, the bank, fast food places. We want things to be done fast, because we feel that we don't have time to stand still for 5 seconds.
This theory is also applied to relationships. We don't have TIME, to sit and talk anymore, or the patience to work things out, so we fight and yell about it, in hopes that we can out yell the other person, and sometimes to avoid a fight, we lie, because it's just easier. The truth can be painful and when you know that it will hurt another person, to the point that they may yell or possibly throw something at you, (causing you physical pain), then yes, lying can just be easier. Hope that helped some. It's all about what will resolve the issue at the end of the day. We all have our ways of doing that. Doesn't always have to involve yelling in a bad way. If you know what I mean. ; )

Hmmmm...
Yeah, it's a real puzzle 'cause deception and combat is so rare among animals.
Seriously though, life is a competition.
Cooperation and honesty arise form the somewhat artificial construct of society. Deception and combat are the more natural states.
