And then wheel in a couple of twenty five year olds to tell us all about it?

They also did a 'History' of Rock recently and started in 1967! is that ridiculous or just stupid?

I wasn't around till 1970, the decade that taste forgot. I can see what you mean. It's all part of our media need to hide the "elderly". You couldn't possibly have a 50 year old talking on a program about music and culture... lol.

A lot of people I know who lived through the 60's say it wasn't as liberated and wild as all that. Maybe in London. Heck I don't know I was only an idea then.

Yes, I get very annoyed.

I was there, and I have not yet seen a programme which has accurately portrayed what it was like. All this b/s about "free love" and whatever. That sort of thing may well have happened in certain strata of society, but certainly not in mine. I was merely an ordinary lad, growing up, and none of this so-called hype affected me at all.

And sorry, Paws, you can study something all you like, but that does not mean that you know all about it.

It doesn't really annoy me because these people have obviously studied the 60's era and just because they were not there doesn't mean they can't tell you what it was like.
