my mom....my older sister.... my grandmother.... my godmother...one of my professors in college....
i'm not influenced by politics or the media...the people i have close relationships with influence me the most
and none of these women taught me "that all men are pedophiles, rapists, criminals, and emotionally inferior..."
...i love men! my father is someone i would consider a hero and my boyfriend of almost 3 years has brought me nothing but happiness...any relationship i've had with men that didn't work out wasn't just because of the men...it was wrong on both ends, and to be honest...i think i have stronger relationships with men than i do with women.

There are a lot of influential American women that I liked - some sadly deceased:
Barbara Ehrenreich
Gloria Steinem
Andrea of course
Katherine Graham
Oprah Winfrey
Nora Ephron
Twyla Tharp
Joan Didion
I know there's eight, I just don't want to take any out.

Angela Davis.
Eleanor Roosevelt.
Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Betty Ford.
Pat Nixon.
Rather an eclectic list, please excuse me as I reside in The UK.
My list is such because Angela Davis was a true inspiration in the 70's.
Eleanor Roosevelt worked tirelessly behind the scenes for her husband who everyone knows could be irascible.
Hillary Rodham Clinton for standing firm to her political beliefs.
Betty Ford for establishing her centre.
Pat Nixon for presenting as a composed woman during Watergate and after- I was in The U.S.A when Nixon was found out and I admired her stance in such awkward circumstances.

Typical answer:
Condalezza Rice, Martha, Oprah, Madonna, Gloria Steinem, Billary, Rosanne, Loraine Bobbit, Rosie O'Donnel etc...
Truthful answer:
The ones who shape their minds by far have the largest influence on our young ladies, starting with mom, and any other close female role models. Most importantly are the manish professor types teaching them that all men are pedophiles, rapists, criminals, and emotionally inferior,.. Incredibly, these dysfunctional role models have managed to convince our young ladies that they are really men.
