that after you have sex and your trying to get pregnant you should not get up right away? Like I got up about 5 mins later? Dose that mean I lost my chances in getting pregnant?

True, if you lay there a while it does do a bit of good on the chances of the spermies getting thru your cervix and up to the egg.

It isn't true that just because you got up 5 minutes later you lost your chances of getting pregnant.

When I conceived my daughter (now two) I was always on top (her daddy was a lazy... something or other... lol), and I always got straight up afterwards. I still conceived.

No It does not lose your chances of becoming pregnant.. If you are trying to become pregnant though it will increase your odds by gravity not pulling the sperm away from your egg. they say it can also help to put a pillow underneath your bottom for 5 min.

it wont make you loose your chance, but it is recommended to stay laying down for like 20 mins after sex, and not to finish in the girl on top position bc sperm can leak out. after sex, i put a pillow under my butt and lay there for like 15 minutes or so (ive noticed if i hop up right away some of the swimmers drip out, eww i know) but if you got up quickly, the sperm still had time to get up there

Like the others have said there is no proven research that lying there does help however I tried for 3 months and only of the third time did I lie there with a pillow elevating my pelvis and that it the month we got PG. Coincedence or not, don't know but it is worth trying.

No thats not right at all, but i have read that if you lay in bed after sex, and not go straight to the toilet it can increase chances of pregnancy!!!! There all myths, Most women don't lose a pregnancy unless complications, or i like to believe if you lose pregnancy it's natures way of telling us there was somethink wrong with the embyro... Good luck tho, hope this helps....cheers tina

Not to be gross, but anything that comes out of your body after sex is just fluid and dead sperm. The live ones have all swam away, they are really fast. But remember, there are millions of sperm, and only one is needed, so if a million got past your cervix, then one of them might work. Good luck trying to have your baby!
