Go mac. I never thought I would leave wondowns. I have had and ibook G4 over 1.5 years. I keep my computer in a head lock and it has never crashed, never been infected. It is truely amazing it works so well. It took a few days to get used to, but I will never go back.

Once you go Mac you'll never go back. I had this very same question about 3 years ago, my Dad, an avid Mac man since '84, persuded me to get one. I've never been happier. Once you get past the first couple of weeks of the little differences, it's a doddle. Not only that but you can get microsoft office for mac, so you can still use all your old microsoft stuff. Although you will change to the Mac word processor, it's way better. Plus, all the updates you get for Free! No worries about internet security, all the viruses are made to mess up windows machines. And it is soooo much faster. Trust me Mac is the way to go. I suggest Mac Book Pro. awsome machine.

Macs are more stable and generally don't have the problems you get with Windows, but the productivity software for Mac is ridiculously expensive.

I can live with the Windows problems, but some people can't. If you want to keep the various word processing and other programs that are so easy with Windows you probably need to consider going to Vista or buying another XP machine.

If you can afford a lot of expensive software and peripherals and want the reliability and stability of a Mac the expenditure if well worth it.

If you've been a Windows users for a long time and are considering switching to a Mac, you might consider picking up one of the _Switching to the Mac_ (the Missing Manual) books by Pogue & Goldstein. They have a separate edition for each of the versions of Mac OS X. That might ease the transition quite a bit...

I been using windows for quite some years now, and to be honest there is no light after windows XP!!! Vista is a real disaster! Don't fall for the cool interface (thats all u get, the rest is headache!!! like i did, regretting now!)

Go for a mac (most come with a core2 duo processor) enabling you to use windows as well as mac ! cool init?

And mac are more reliable, more secure and the software are just more cool and fun to use....

If you are not sure, visit an Apple store to try any mac u like!!

Mac. Because although it is more expensive, Macs are more user-friendly Once you get the hang of them, you'll never go back to PCs.

Also Macs will last you for a good number of years, as you don't have to keep on upgrading the system every few months.

MAC, if you have not used Vista then dont. I got new laptop with Vista, big mistake. PC is great but wished i had taken my brothers advice and gone for a Mac. He buys and sets up networks in the USA and just kicked Dell out and moved Macs in.

Depends what you do on your computer. For example, if you play games, you'll want a PC (windows) 'cause chances are most games aren't compatible with Macs.

I'd stick with Windows if I were you.
